Wiccan is one of the most prominent gay characters in Marvel Comics, and even eventually married his boyfriend, the Skrull named Hulkling.

How will this fit in with what we've seen in the MCU? Good question. For the first four episodes, Joe Locke was simply described as “Teen,” an Agatha fanboy, one with a magical sigil preventing him from uttering his true name. He realizes he’s the soul of Billy Maximoff, living in a new body. With Agatha, Billy, and Sasheer Zamata’s Jen Kale all still active in the witchy side of the MCU, hopefully, we’ll get more and more as time goes on.

He's only been in two projects thus far, and both have been acclaimed series: Netflix's Heartstopper, where he plays one of the lead characters, Charlie Spring, and now Agatha All Along, where his role as Teen/Wiccan/Billy is clearly central to everything that's unfolding. Is Teen actually Wiccan, Wanda's Son?

While we haven't gotten any backstory yet, it's safe to confirm at this point that "Teen" is, indeed, Wiccan, Wanda Maxmoff's son. However, Billy had ties to another famous Avenger instead, Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. He seeks out Agatha Harkness, so that she will take him down the Witches’ Road, so he can find his long-lost missing brother, Tommy.

Locke was born in the Isle of Man, in Northern Europe, and has spoken our prominently through the years on a number of issues for gay people both in his home country and elsewhere. the Scarlet Witch, and to a certain extent, the Vision.

The true origins of Wiccan actually go back to ‘80s Marvel Comics.

At his celebration, he meets Lilia, who is working as a fortune teller there. After Evanora revealed herself, she possessed Agatha, creating a frightening sight until Alice (Ali Ahn) stepped in and pushed Evanora out. Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha gave herself up to Aubrey Plaza’s Death and did so with a big passionate kiss.

Thor: Love and Thunder, to give just one example, was hyped up as “so gay” and then disappointed everybody. But it’s great to see Marvel listening to their queer actors and creating more queer storylines.
